Akemi Iwamoto

Akemi Iwamoto received a Ph.D in Buddhist Studies from Kyoto University in 2002. She was a visiting scholar at Indiana University for a year and a half and held a post-doctoral position at State University of New York at Albany in 2005-2006. She taught a six-week intensive course on Yogacara Buddhist texts at the University of the West in 2008. Currently she is a lecturer at Kansai University and a research associate at Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture. Her research focuses on the early Yogacara Buddhism in India.
