Tomomi Ito

Tomomi Ito teaches Societies and Cultures of Southeast Asia at Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, Kobe University, Japan. She graduated from Australian National University with a Ph.D. thesis on Buddhism and Social Thought in Twentieth-Century Thailand, focusing especially on Bhikkhu Buddhadasa. She For the past six years, she has been studying Buddhistwomen practitioners and restoration of the Bhikkhuni Sangha in Thailand.
